Dairy Cont.

12th of march: today i found a problem one of the leg slots was to big so i had to cut another one out. also i shorten the seat as the tabs were to big. we the drill to day i managed to make 6 4mm slots for 6 pieces of 4mm dowl. i did this by using a stanley knife to cut all around the dowl and then when i had cut enough i would snap it off.by the end of the lesson i had almost finished cutting all 6 pieces. on firday i will cut the remaining 4 out and cont with the finishing!

Scroll Saws Broken So Far:2

right this one is for last friday cos my post bugged up last time!
9th march: today i started to put my chair together and cut out the back.i did this by using the scroll saw and the files. Miss helpped me with the final edges and then i used the drill to do 2 holes to start the slots, which i cut out with a coping saw.

Dairy!

in my first lesson I started to cut out the legs/arm rests. i did this by using the scroll saw and a coping saw. I also used a 9mm drill bit with the drill so i could start cutting out the slots for tabs to enter. Next lesson i plan to cut out the seat and finsh off my legs.

Next lessson i manged to finish the legs and cut out the slots only to find the slots need to be bigger! i manged to finish the second of my legs also in this lesson but my seat is going to be hard i think i had almost finished cutting it out by the time the lesson was out.

Updated on 05 March: This lesson i managed to cut out my seat though that dosent sound much it is becausew i also finished my arm rests proply as the slots were 2 small for the seat to fit in. i have got to do the back and the slot in the seat for the back to fit in . this will be done next lesson and i hope to be finished by next monday!

Meh!

This is my new DT blog that i have made to record all of my DT work. This will be done like a diary!!!! The lost project I did was not so good and so I will be hoping to try and improve upon it this time!
